Born in September 1990 in Lancaster County, PA, Danny Piselli began his musical journey at age 10 when he first picked up a pair of drumsticks. By age 15, he was studying under renowned jazz drummer Clyde Lucas and was selected as a member of the national School of Rock All-Star Group.
As a teenager, Danny’s dedication to his craft was opening doors. He performed with artists including Brendon Small (Metalocalypse), The Butthole Surfers, and Andrew W.K., and appeared on legendary stages such as The Trocadero in Philadelphia, The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, The Forum in London, and the Zappanale Festival in Germany — all before turning 18.
In 2008, Danny formed his first band, Fisthammer, while also joining projects such as On Top, Coffin Dust, and Vulcan. These groups became fixtures of the Philadelphia metal scene, playing countless local shows and contributing to its growth. Around this time, he also began teaching at multiple music schools in Downingtown and Phoenixville, PA, discovering his passion for helping students develop their skills behind the kit.
From 2010 to 2020, Danny would perform nearly 1,000 shows across the U.S. and appear on over a dozen recordings with various bands. What started as self funded/booked tours turned into fully fledged national tours, preforming in all venues and spaces from basements to bars, theaters, amphitheaters, and arenas. In 2022, he joined the band The L.I.F.E Project as an opening act on the Alice in Chains/Breaking Benjamin summer tour. In 2023, his work reached international stages when he toured Australia with Start Making Sense (a Talking Heads tribute) and later joining heavy metal icon Doro Pesch on stage at premier festivals such as Milwaukee Metal Fest, M3 Festival, Bangers Open Air Sao Paulo Brazil, and Rock Al Parque in Bogota, Colombia.
In addition to his work as a live and touring drummer, Danny continues to showcase his creative vision through Sublation, his band with guitarist Max Svalgard, which has a new release scheduled for early 2026. He also records and performs with The Life Project, alongside Josh Rand (Stone Sour), Casandra Carson (Paralandra), Jaron Gulino (George Lynch), and Diana Weiser (The Host Country).
Today, Danny balances his career as a performer, session drummer, and dedicated teacher, drawing on more than 25 years of experience to inspire the next generation of musicians.
He proudly plays Yamaha Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Vater Sticks, Evans Drumheads, and Axis Pedals.
